Headache
Headaches may originate from the neck, muscle tension or the jaw. An integrated approach helps reduce both intensity and frequency.
A headache is head pain that can be occasional or recurrent. It is often linked to muscle tension, tissue sensitivity, or overload in the neck and upper back.
Common triggers include stress, teeth clenching, sustained desk posture, limited cervical mobility, and excessive load on the upper trapezius and suboccipital region.
When left unaddressed, headaches can become more frequent, interfere with sleep and concentration, and create a cycle of tension that feeds the pain. They may also be associated with neck stiffness and jaw discomfort.
At Kinésica we combine hands-on care and postural re-education. Depending on your presentation, we integrate osteopathy, TMJ work, gentle manual manipulations and RPG to release tension and improve control of the neck and shoulder girdle.
Your assessment includes questions about habits, sleep and stress, plus mobility tests for the neck and jaw. Each session sets clear goals, self-care guidance and simple exercises to help maintain progress.

Frequently asked questions
How are cervical posture and the jaw linked to headaches?
Many tension-type headaches stem from deep suboccipital muscle tightness, upper cervical joint restrictions, or jaw clenching (TMJ) that irritate cranial nerve pathways.
What is the difference between a tension headache and a migraine?
Tension headaches create a steady, band-like tightening around the head or neck, are usually bilateral, and lack nausea. Migraines are typically throbbing, one-sided, and accompanied by sensitivity to light and sound.
