Conditions
Cervicobrachialgia
When pain starts in the neck and travels to the shoulder or arm, nerves, joints and posture are often involved.
Cervicobrachialgia is pain originating in the neck that radiates into the shoulder, arm or hand. It may be accompanied by tingling, electric sensations or reduced use due to discomfort.
Common contributors include nerve root irritation, tight cervical and shoulder-girdle muscles, thoracic stiffness and sustained forward-head posture. Repetitive upper-limb loading can also play a role.
Without care, the nervous system may become more sensitive, sleep can be affected, and everyday tasks with the arm may be limited. Protective stiffness in the neck and shoulder can maintain the cycle.
At Kinésica we combine neurodynamics to improve nerve tolerance with manual therapy for the neck and thorax. We integrate osteopathy, manual manipulations when indicated and RPG to reorganize posture and unload the cervico-scapular region.
Assessment includes neck and shoulder mobility tests plus neural provocation tests to dose the right stimulus. Sessions progress with mobility, strengthening and ergonomic guidance so the arm moves confidently again.
Approach at Kinésica
Techniques are tailored to neural signs and movement tolerance.
