Radiculopathy
Radiculopathy can cause radiating pain, tingling or weakness. A precise assessment helps dose treatment without flaring symptoms.
Radiculopathy occurs when a nerve root becomes irritated, usually in the cervical or lumbar spine. It can cause radiating pain, tingling, numbness or a sense of weakness.
Contributors may include disc changes, joint stiffness, local inflammation or a combination of load and posture. There isn’t always a single cause, which is why assessing symptoms and movement is key.
Without care it may affect sleep, work and physical activity, and increase nervous system sensitivity. Postural compensations can maintain irritation.
At Kinésica we integrate neurodynamics to improve nerve mobility and tolerance, with osteopathy and gentle manual manipulations when indicated to optimize spinal mobility. We add RPG to improve postural control and unload the affected region.
Assessment includes neurological testing, strength and sensation, and movements that change symptoms. Sessions progress with graded exercise, flare-up education and a gradual return plan to daily activities.
Approach at Kinésica
Our priority is safe dosing for the nervous system and steady progression without irritation.
