Conditions

Disc herniation

A disc herniation may cause back or neck pain and sometimes symptoms down a limb. A progressive plan helps you regain function safely.

A disc herniation involves changes in an intervertebral disc that can irritate nearby structures. Symptoms vary: local pain, stiffness, and sometimes radiating symptoms with tingling or electric sensations.

It may develop from accumulated load, repetitive movements, low tolerance to certain positions, or a single episode. Nervous system sensitivity and context (stress, sleep) also influence intensity.

If not addressed, it may prolong pain, limit activity and create fear of movement. Protective stiffness and strength loss from avoidance can reduce load tolerance further.

At Kinésica we combine education, hands-on care and exercise. We integrate neurodynamics when neural symptoms are present, RPG to improve postural control, and—depending on the stage—osteopathy and gentle manual manipulations to optimize mobility without forcing.

Assessment clarifies what is safe and what should be dosed. Sessions progress with specific exercises, flare-up strategies and a gradual return plan for work, sport and everyday life.

Approach at Kinésica

Progression is adapted to stage, neural symptoms and exercise response.
