Hyperlordosis
Hyperlordosis is an increased lumbar curve. It isn’t inherently bad, but it can be linked to overload and pain when control and mobility are limited.
Hyperlordosis is an increased lumbar curve, often seen with an anterior pelvic tilt. Some people have no pain; others experience low-back discomfort, stiffness or tension.
It is often related to posture and movement patterns, hip stiffness, reduced trunk control and imbalance between glutes, abdominals and hip flexors. Sedentary habits and stress can contribute.
When painful, it may lead to recurrent episodes, a sense of lumbar “load” while standing and compensations in the hips and upper back. It can also limit certain exercises or daily tasks.
At Kinésica we use RPG and muscle-chain work to improve alignment and control, alongside hands-on care. We integrate osteopathy and manual manipulations when indicated to optimize pelvic, lumbar and hip mobility and reduce overload.
Assessment focuses on posture, hip mobility and lumbopelvic control. Sessions progress with specific exercise, breathing and load strategies so your spine tolerates daily activity better.
Approach at Kinésica
The goal is better control and load tolerance, not rigidly ‘straightening’ the spine.
