Conditions
Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a three-dimensional spinal curve. Physiotherapy focuses on mobility, strength and pain management in daily life.
Scoliosis is a spinal deviation expressed in multiple planes and can vary in magnitude. Some people have no pain; others feel discomfort from tension, stiffness or muscle fatigue.
Symptoms may relate to load asymmetries, limited mobility in certain segments and compensations across the pelvis, ribcage and shoulder girdle. Activity level and stress influence how the body feels as well.
Without support, pain episodes, postural fatigue and difficulty staying in certain positions may develop. In some cases, breathing can feel restricted due to thoracic stiffness.
At Kinésica we use RPG and muscle-chain work to improve postural organization and control, along with hands-on care. We integrate osteopathy and manual manipulations when indicated to relieve tension and optimize mobility where stiffness is greatest.
Assessment reviews posture, mobility, strength and how pain shows up in your activities. Sessions include specific exercises, self-care education and realistic progression so you gain capacity and comfort day to day.
