Disc protrusion
A disc protrusion may be linked to pain and stiffness. With assessment and progression, function and confidence can improve significantly.
A disc protrusion is a change in an intervertebral disc that may cause local pain and stiffness. It does not always produce radiating symptoms, and its impact depends on sensitivity and how the spine is loaded.
It is often associated with accumulated load, repetitive movements, sustained posture and limited mobility in the hips or spine. Activity level and tissue tolerance also play a role.
If ignored, it can lead to repeated flare-ups and limit basic tasks such as bending, lifting or prolonged sitting. Long-term avoidance often worsens overall conditioning.
At Kinésica we use manual therapy to restore mobility and reduce tension, integrating osteopathy and manual manipulations when indicated. We add RPG and muscle-chain work to refine posture and improve how load is distributed through your body.
Assessment identifies helpful movements and those that should be dosed. Sessions include progressive exercise, symptom-management education and a gradual return plan for daily activities and training.
