Conditions

Flat back

A flatter thoracic curve is often linked to stiffness. Improving mobility and control helps reduce overload in the neck and low back.

Flat back describes a thoracic spine with less curve than usual. It may come with stiffness, a sense of a “rigid back”, and discomfort in the neck, shoulder blades or upper back.

It is often related to reduced thoracic mobility, inefficient breathing patterns and tension in paraspinal muscles. It can also appear as a compensation for other postures or training habits.

Without targeted work, it may increase load on the neck and low back, reduce spinal adaptability and cause discomfort with prolonged sitting or exertion.

At Kinésica we use RPG and muscle-chain work to restore functional curves and control. We integrate osteopathy and manual manipulations when indicated to free thoracic mobility and improve breathing and trunk mechanics.

Assessment looks at thoracic mobility, breathing and scapular control. Sessions include mobility, progressive strength and practical postural strategies so your back feels more adaptable day to day.

Approach at Kinésica

The approach focuses on mobility and control for a more adaptable spine.
