Conditions

Upper back pain

Dorsalgia is pain in the mid/upper back. It often relates to sustained posture, thoracic stiffness and muscle overload.

Dorsalgia is pain in the upper and mid-back, around the shoulder blades and thoracic spine. It may feel like sharp twinges, tightness or a constant ache, especially with sitting or deep breathing.

Common drivers include prolonged desk posture, reduced thoracic mobility, tightness in the chest and upper back, and compensations from the neck or lower back.

Over time it may restrict movement, refer discomfort into the neck or shoulders, and increase end-of-day fatigue. Thoracic stiffness can also affect breathing mechanics.

At Kinésica we combine manual therapy and postural work to free the thoracic region. When appropriate we use osteopathy and targeted manual manipulations, alongside RPG and muscle-chain work to reorganize posture and unload the upper back.

Your assessment focuses on posture, thoracic mobility and scapular control. Sessions integrate mobility, progressive strengthening and workstation guidance so improvements last beyond the clinic.

Approach at Kinésica

We choose techniques based on mobility and the source of overload.
