Conditions
Rotator cuff
The rotator cuff stabilizes the shoulder. Overload can cause pain and weakness, especially with lifting or rotation.
The rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons that stabilize the shoulder. Overload can lead to pain, weakness or discomfort when sleeping on that side.
It is often associated with increased load (gym, swimming, work), suboptimal technique, scapular-control fatigue and thoracic stiffness. Stress and insufficient recovery also affect healing.
If not addressed, it can limit lifting, training and overhead tasks, and increase night pain. Neck compensation may add further tension.
At Kinésica we combine hands-on care and specific exercise: osteopathy and manual manipulations when indicated to improve mobility and reduce tension, plus muscle-chain work and RPG to optimize posture and shoulder coordination.
Assessment covers strength, scapular control and load tolerance. Sessions progress with cuff strengthening, mobility work and a graded return-to-sport or work plan with clear dosing guidelines.
Approach at Kinésica
Combining manual therapy and exercise rebuilds strength without aggravating the shoulder.
