Conditions

Heel pain

Heel pain can affect every step. Understanding foot mechanics and global loading helps recovery.

Talalgia is pain around the heel, often felt with weight-bearing, walking or first steps in the morning. It may affect one side or both.

Typical contributors include load increase (more walking or running), ankle stiffness, posterior-chain tension and altered foot support. Footwear and surfaces can also influence symptoms.

If it continues, it can change your gait, create knee or hip discomfort through compensation and reduce physical activity. Morning pain and tissue irritability often increase.

At Kinésica we use manual therapy for the foot and ankle, osteopathy to improve mobility and load distribution, and targeted manual manipulations when indicated. We integrate muscle-chain work and RPG to address overall gait mechanics.

Assessment includes foot support, ankle mobility and load tolerance. Sessions progress with foot and calf strengthening, activity dosing and a plan to return to walking or running.

Approach at Kinésica

Technique selection depends on support, mobility and load tolerance.
