Conditions
Flat feet
A lower arch isn’t always a problem. What matters is load tolerance and whether symptoms appear with walking or training.
Flat feet describe a lower arch or a more pronated support pattern. It can be a normal variation and may not require treatment if there is no pain or limitation.
When symptoms are present, ankle mobility, foot strength and coordination with the knee and hip often matter. Sudden load increases and unsuitable footwear can trigger discomfort.
If pain persists, gait can be affected and overload may develop at the ankle, knee or even the low back. It can also reduce tolerance to running or long hours of standing.
At Kinésica we treat the foot within the full chain: manual therapy and osteopathy to improve ankle and midfoot mobility, targeted manual manipulations when indicated, plus muscle-chain work and RPG to optimize alignment and loading during gait.
Assessment includes support analysis, strength tests and load tolerance. Sessions progress with foot and calf exercises, knee/hip control and guidance to dose walking or running safely.
Approach at Kinésica
The aim is better function and tolerance, not forcing an artificial arch.
