Conditions

Pubalgia

Pubalgia is groin/pubic pain often seen in sports, but also in people with hip and pelvic overload.

Pubalgia is pain around the pubic area and groin that may show up with running, cutting, kicking or even rising from a chair. It can feel like tightness in the adductors or lower abdominals.

It is often linked to adductor overload, altered hip mechanics, pelvic stiffness and an imbalance between abdominals, glutes and thighs. A sudden increase in training load is a common trigger.

If not addressed, it can become persistent, limit sport participation and create compensations in the low back, hip or knee. Some people also feel ongoing pain with walking or stairs.

At Kinésica we treat the area as a system: osteopathy and manual therapy to improve hip and pelvic mobility, manual manipulations when indicated, plus muscle-chain work and RPG to reorganize loading and reduce tension in the groin.

Assessment includes strength tests, lumbopelvic control and hip mobility. Sessions progress with targeted exercise, a gradual return-to-sport plan and load-management guidance to prevent relapse.

Approach at Kinésica

We combine techniques with exercise so improvements carry over to sport.
