Conditions

Knee valgus

Knee valgus is a tendency for knees to move inward. Rather than chasing a perfect shape, we train control and load distribution.

Knee valgus describes an alignment where the knees tend to drift inward, especially during squats, landing and stairs. It may or may not be painful.

It is often linked to hip control (glutes), ankle mobility, foot support and learned movement patterns. Fatigue and higher loads can make it more noticeable.

When painful, it can increase stress on the knee, contribute to kneecap or inner-knee symptoms and create compensations at the hip or foot. It may also affect sport performance.

At Kinésica we integrate muscle-chain work and RPG to improve postural organization, alongside hands-on care. We use osteopathy and manual manipulations when indicated to optimize hip and ankle mobility and support a better loading pattern.

Assessment includes squat, landing and gait analysis. Sessions progress with glute strengthening, neuromuscular control and sport- or activity-specific drills.
