Conditions
Osteoarthritis and arthritis
Joint wear and inflammation cause pain and stiffness. A graded movement plan helps maintain function and quality of life.
Osteoarthritis is progressive cartilage wear that can affect the knee, hip, spine, hands or other joints. Arthritis involves joint inflammation, sometimes inflammatory or autoimmune in origin.
Both can cause pain, morning stiffness, crepitus and limits with walking, stairs or hand use. Overload, age, prior injury and inactivity influence how symptoms feel.
Without a suitable plan, pain can reduce activity, weaken supporting muscles and create compensations elsewhere. Inactivity often worsens stiffness.
At Kinésica we use manual therapy and osteopathy to improve mobility and ease periarticular tension, plus progressive exercise, muscle-chain work and RPG to optimize load and posture.
Assessment covers movement tolerance, strength and habits. We coordinate with your physician when systemic disease is present, and design a realistic plan to sustain autonomy without overloading the joint.
Approach at Kinésica
We dose mobility and load according to the joint involved and the inflammatory phase.
